mTOR inhibitor and potential longevity drug
Rapamycin (also known as Sirolimus) is an immunosuppressant drug originally developed for organ transplant patients.
It inhibits mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin), a key regulator of cell growth and metabolism.
Studies have shown that rapamycin can extend lifespan in mice and is being investigated as a potential anti-aging intervention.
