研究问题

Ageing is a universal yet heterogeneous process, driven by the accumulation of molecular and cellular damage that leads to functional decline, frailty, increased disease susceptibility, and ultimately death [1].

方法

Retained muscle-associated features in this study included FLNC, MYBPH, SSPN, OXCT1, HSPB1, BCL2L13, FHL3 and MUSTN1, linking the muscle signature to structural integrity, metabolism and stress-response pathways [59].;A systematic review of human proteomic ageing studies identified skeletal muscle vastus lateralis as one of the most informative non-blood tissues, reporting 916 age-associated proteins, while earlier smaller muscle studies reported more limited age-associated protein sets [25, 29].

核心结论

Recent analyses suggest that approximately 25–30% of tissue-enriched proteins, including those derived from skeletal muscle, can be detected in plasma [55].;In a multi-compartment ageing analysis, skeletal-muscle age-acceleration scores were associated with usual-pace walking speed (Spearman r = 0.35, p = 0.016), providing initial evidence that muscle proteomic ageing signatures relate to physical function [58].;ProtAge was associated with incidence of 18 major chronic diseases, multimorbidity and all-cause mortality, with each decile increase in proteomic age gap associated with an approximately 1.9-fold higher mortality risk [21]. ‖ 结论:Achieving this integration will require improved standardisation across proteomic platforms, development of longitudinal reference datasets, and clear regulatory frameworks defining how biological-age measures should be applied in clinical and preventive medicine.
