研究问题
Countries such as China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand are all facing the demographic transition of population aging.;The proportion of the aging population in South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand is also expected to increase.;However, current relevant research findings are mostly scattered in independent reports focusing on different single herbs and distinct signaling pathways, and there is a lack of systematic collation targeting the pharmacological effects and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicines against reproductive senescence.
方法
All studies related to the keywords were considered, and the criteria for inclusion in this study were: 1) articles written in English; 2) drugs belonging to Traditional Chinese Medicine; 3) studies focusing on Reproductive Aging, including premature ovarian failure in women and late-onset hypogonadism in men; and 4) active ingredients unique to herbs.;The exclusion criteria were: 1) duplicate articles; 2) articles on non-Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments; 3) articles with poor logic or incomplete data; 4) conference coverage; and 5) articles unrelated to the topic.;These eligibility and exclusion criteria are summarized in the literature screening flowchart ().
核心结论
Meanwhile, global delayed childbearing is occurring; influenced by socioeconomic development, increased life expectancy, and other factors, more young people may postpone childbearing until after the age of 30.;Since 1970, the proportion of females giving birth to their first child after the age of 35 has increased by nearly 10-fold.;In one study, the proportion of women with extremely delayed childbearing in the United States has increased. ‖ 结论:This review systematically summarizes the characteristics and pathogenesis of reproductive aging, as well as the pharmacological mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), highlighting the importance of TCM in modulating reproductive aging.
局限
Consequently, the efficacy of these strategies in humans and their potential impact on maternal and infant health remain uncertain, leading to insufficient generalizability of the research findings.;By systematically integrating the mechanistic actions of various natural products, this review delineates the targeted molecular mechanisms of distinct bioactive constituents, thereby providing a clear reference framework for future research.;In future research, guided by the principle of Tongfa Zhiyi (treating different diseases with the same method), the anti–reproductive-aging effects of various herbs—such as Panax ginseng, Epimedium, and Lycium barbarum—which converge on common signaling path
