研究问题
To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for postoperative pain management and functional recovery in older adults following total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
方法
A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted.;PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating acupuncture or electroacupuncture for postoperative outcomes in adults undergoing TKA.;Fifteen RCTs involving 1037 participants were included.
核心结论
Acupuncture and electroacupuncture were associated with reduced postoperative pain (VAS: SMD = -1.08, 95% CI, -1.27 to -0.89; Z = 11.09; p < 0.00001) and improved functional outcomes (HSS: SMD = 1.39, 95% CI, 1.02 to 1.75; Z = 7.48; p < 0.00001).
局限
However, the available evidence does not establish acupuncture as a nurse-led intervention.
