研究问题

The objectives were to describe the populations and comparisons studied, summarize cognitive and biological findings, and identify the measurements and design features needed for clinical translation.;Because the objective was to map evidence types and design implications rather than to estimate a pooled treatment effect, no meta-analysis was undertaken.;Eligible registry records described trials designed to evaluate FMT or whole-microbiota transfer as an investigational intervention for AD, dementia or cognitive impairment, including studies with safety, feasibility, engraftment or mechanistic objectives.

方法

Early access date: October 26, 2026 http://dx.doi.org/10.14336/AD.2026.0883 Review Fecal Microbiota Transplantation in Alzheimer’s Disease: A Scoping Review of Human, Registry, and Preclinical Evidence Jiayi Xu1#, Zhiwen Cao2,3#, Yansong Liu2,3*, Aibo Gao2,3*, Yanyan Kong1* 1 Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET Center, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China.;The remaining report was an uncontrolled five-patient pilot comprising two patients with AD, two with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and one with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).;The published human studies were nonrandomized.

核心结论

Animal FMT studies suggest that microbiota transfer can influence Aβ pathology, neuroinflammation, barrier function and behavioral phenotypes [11, 12].
