研究问题
Although the evidence available for some conditions remains sparse, their comparison provides an opportunity to examine whether different components of numerical cognition show differential vulnerability as language, semantic memory, visuospatial processing, memory, or executive functions deteriorate.
方法
In addition to the database searches, the reference lists of included articles were manually screened to identify additional eligible studies.;Diagnostic terms included *Alzheimer’s disease*, *dementia*, *mild cognitive impairment*, *primary progressive aphasia*, *frontotemporal dementia*, *Parkinson’s disease*, *Lewy body disease*, and *posterior cortical atrophy*.;Numerical cognition terms included *acalculia*, *dyscalculia*, *number processing*, *numerical cognition*, *number comparison*, *magnitude comparison*, *number transcoding*, *number line*, *mental number line*, *numerical magnitude*, and related terms.;Studies were eligible for inclusion if they: (1) reported original empirical data; (2) were written in English or French; (3) included adults with a clinically diagnosed neurodegenerative disorder or mild cognitive impairment associated with a neurodegenerative disease; and (4) assessed at least one component of core numerical cognition using a standardized or experimental numerical task.
核心结论
[35] found acalculia in 25 of 39 patients (64%), with poorer calculation associated with reduced left angular gyrus perfusion. ‖ 结论:Future studies using standardized multidomain assessments, larger and better-characterized clinical samples, and longitudinal designs will be essential to determine the diagnostic and prognostic value of numerical cognition in neurodegenerative disease.
局限
Given the substantial heterogeneity of study designs, populations, measures, and outcomes, a quantitative meta-analysis was not considered appropriate and the synthesis remained qualitative.;Given the heterogeneity of the included literature, this limitation reduces confidence in the completeness and accuracy of the review process.;These limitations should be considered when interpreting the consistency and robustness of the patterns identified in this review.
对本项目的价值
★★☆☆☆ 脑老化是最大未满足需求,也是终点最难量化的领域;biomarker 与认知读数选择最敏感。设计 Meta 分析、系统综述。
