研究问题

Sleep quality and life satisfaction are important dimensions for understanding frailty in older patients with multimorbidity.;Sleep disturbances are common in older adults and are intertwined with chronic diseases, pain, psychological symptoms, medication use, and functional

方法

Because the median number of chronic diseases in the clinical data was 5, participants were classified into a lower-burden group (< 5 chronic diseases) and a higher-burden group (≥ 5 chronic diseases).;method treats variables as nodes and statistical associations adjusted for other nodes as edges, allowing the description of relative node connectivity and cross-domain association patterns [ – ].;To descriptively explore network patterns by chronic disease burden, participants were classified into a lower-burden group (< 5 chronic diseases) and a higher-burden group (≥ 5 chronic diseases).

核心结论

BMI and BMI category were not significantly associated with any of the three scale scores.;PSQI, FRAIL, and SWLS total scores also differed significantly by smoking status, drinking status, education level, and primary source of financial support (all P < 0.001).;Taken together, bridge strength and bridge expected influence suggest that life satisfaction nodes were characterized mainly by stronger absolute cross-community connections, whereas sleep quality nodes were relatively more prominent in signed cross-community…;Stability analysis of network centrality and bridge centrality As the proportion of dropped cases increased, the correlations between the re-estimated and original indices for strength, expected influence, bridge strength, and bridge expected influence…

局限

Because this study used a cross-sectional design, the network results reflect statistical associations among nodes and cannot establish causal directions among sleep problems, frailty, and life satisfaction.;Methods Study design and participants This cross-sectional study enrolled older patients treated in the Department of Geriatrics, Jingzhou First People’s Hospital, from February to April 2025.

对本项目的价值

人群纵向证据,可用于假说生成与终点选择:功能结局(衰弱 / 肌少症)是临床转化最可及的终点,适合作为一期终点候选。 | 价值分 1.8/5(★★☆☆☆)
