研究问题

Scoping review methodology offers distinct advantages in systematically mapping existing evidence on a topic, providing a comprehensive overview of the research landscape, identifying knowledge gaps, and compared to traditional literature…;These variations have prompted some investigators to note the scarcity of well-validated cognitive measures with broad applicability.

方法

A systematic literature search was performed across multiple electronic databases to identify relevant studies.

核心结论

In contrast, the prevalence observed in the present review among patients with ACS may suggest that ACS itself is associated with an increased risk of cognitive frailty.;Malnutrition is a risk factor for both physical frailty and cognitive impairment [ ]; conversely, physical frailty or cognitive decline can cause decreased appetite and reduced self‑care ability in older adults, further exacerbating malnutrition and forming a…;Malnutrition was also significantly associated with cognitive frailty, in line with a meta-analysis [ ].;This review found that physical health-related factors associated with cognitive frailty included higher Charlson Comorbidity Index scores and indicators of malnutrition.;Cognitive frailty was consistently associated with poorer clinical outcomes in patients with ACS compared with those without cognitive impairment or frailty.

局限

However, both of the above studies are cross-sectional in design and cannot establish a causal temporal relationship between vascular dysfunction and cognitive frailty.;However, existing studies on ACS-related cognitive frailty exhibit substantial heterogeneity in assessment tools and diagnostic criteria, with no standardized approach, hindering direct comparison and synthesis of findings.
