研究问题

Dementia poses a major challenge for all countries.;However, it cannot be addressed without first considering the broader context of aging.;These technologies can bridge gaps in access to specialized services, particularly in underserved regions, and contribute to more personalized and effective interventions.

方法

Projections estimate that by 2050, one in 5 individuals worldwide will be aged 60 years or older, totaling between 1.6 and 2.1 billion older adults [,].;The most common types of dementia include Alzheimer disease (AD), which accounts for approximately 60%-80% of cases, followed by vascular dementia (5%-10%), dementia with Lewy bodies (around 5%), and frontotemporal dementia (approximately 3%) [].;Of these, 16 met one of the inclusion criteria, specifically addressing global public policies, focusing on the designated area of interest, or discussing the implementation of technology in dementia care.

核心结论

Of these, 16 met one of the inclusion criteria, specifically addressing global public policies, focusing on the designated area of interest, or discussing the implementation of technology in dementia care.;However, the most were excluded because they were not formal reports or focused on geographical regions outside the scope of this study.;However, according to the WHO, only a quarter of all countries have implemented a national plan or strategy to address dementia for 2021 []. ‖ 结论:Although the proposed social programs have significant potential, Mexico’s health system is currently undergoing restructuring, and the effective integration of these technologies will depend on the final performance and organization of the new programs.

局限

At this event, ministers, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies gathered to discuss the importance of addressing dementia and the major challenges it presents, such as the lack of funding for dementia research.;This lack of direction limits the effectiveness of current policies and highlights the need for frameworks that clearly define the role of technology in improving outcomes for people living with dementia.
