方法

Moreover, most evidence comes from Western populations, limiting generalizability to China given distinct ethnic, healthcare, and socioeconomic contexts.;Studies using repeated cohorts were not excluded, aiming to narratively present results across frailty measurements, follow‐up duration and other sources of heterogeneity.Screening for titles, abstracts and full texts of studies and selection were completed in duplicate using the online platform Covidence by two independent reviewers.;Extracted study details were first author, publication year, study/cohort name, urban or rural area, sample size, age characteristics, sex composition, frailty measurement, duration of follow‐up, and language.

核心结论

However, these findings are not generalizable to community‐dwelling adults.;Overall, frailty was consistently associated with higher mortality risks.;These findings indicate that both absolute frailty level and progression rate carry prognostic value, underscoring the need to link trajectories to health outcomes and to intervene early to improve prevention and management.Frailty was consistently associated with higher mortality risk.

局限

However, these findings are not generalizable to community‐dwelling adults.;However, previous evidence does not confirm age as a modifier and findings on follow‐up duration remain inconsistent [67].This study has limitations.;First, substantial heterogeneity was observed, warranting cautious interpretation despite the use of random‐effects models.
