研究问题
Meta-analyses report possible cognitive benefits in mild cognitive impairment (MCI), but dementia prevention has not been established ( Chen et al., 2024 ; Shao et al., 2024 ).;The aim is to define where Tai Chi may complement established care and what methodological standards are required for credible trials.;Because these reviews combine interventions and mostly small studies, they provide indirect, hypothesis-generating support for Tai Chi rather than evidence of a Tai Chi-specific neural mechanism.
方法
Eligible designs included systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomised trials, pragmatic trials, cohort studies, clinical guidelines, consensus statements, and major methodological or public health reports.;Timing and trajectory may modify the association ( Lee et al., 2021 ), and a large Danish cohort found associations across early-, mid-, and late-life depression ( Elser et al., 2023 ).;Irish longitudinal data linked sub-recommended activity to fewer depressive symptoms and lower odds of major depression ( Laird et al., 2023 ), and another population cohort found lower depression risk across activity intensities and frequencies ( Lima et al., 2024 ).
核心结论
(原文未给出可直接抽取的对应表述)
局限
Exercise is supported for depression, and benefits may occur below conventional activity targets ( Noetel et al., 2024 ; Pearce et al., 2022 ); however, frailty, pain, fear of falling, low motivation, and cognitive impairment can make standard aerobic or resistance programmes difficult to start or sustain.;It should be evaluated as a multicomponent behavioral intervention—not as a stand-alone or curative alternative to evidence-based mental-health care ( Wayne and Kaptchuk, 2008b ).
